Deleting your data

If you have an OttoDM account

Open Account settings from the menu under your picture and choose Delete account. Every automation stops and every Instagram account is disconnected straight away, and the stored access tokens are removed. Fourteen days later, everything below is permanently deleted. The delay exists so a deletion made by mistake can be undone: signing back in before then cancels it.

If you would rather not do it yourself, email tmmiltd@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, and it is done within 30 days. Either way, this is what goes:

• Your account and password.
• Every automation you built, and its statistics.
• Every connected Instagram account and its access token.
• Every contact record, message, and tag created by your automations.

If you commented on someone's post

You may have a record here without ever having signed up: commenting a keyword on a creator's post, or replying to one of their DMs, is enough.

Email tmmiltd@gmail.com with your Instagram username and the creator's username. Your contact record, and the messages between you and that creator, are deleted within 30 days.

From inside Instagram

Under Settings → Apps and websites, Instagram offers both Remove and a data deletion request, and they do different things.

Remove revokes access. Automations stop at once and the access token we hold is discarded, but what is already stored stays until you ask for it to go.

A data deletion request asks for the data itself. Instagram sends it to us directly and gives you back a link and a confirmation code you can check at any time. The account is disconnected immediately, and everything belonging to it — automations, contacts, synced posts and message history — is permanently deleted 14 days later. The delay exists so a request made by mistake can be undone, and the link tells you exactly how long is left.

What is kept

Nothing, except where the law requires a record to be retained. There is no shadow copy and no "deleted" flag left behind.
